For FY 2024-25, the marginal tax rates are: 0% up to $18,200; 19% from $18,201 to $45,000; 32.5% from $45,001 to $120,000; 37% from $120,001 to $180,000; and 45% above $180,000. These are the Stage 3 tax rates that came into effect on 1 July 2024.

Yes — the Stage 3 tax cuts restructured Australian income tax brackets from 1 July 2024. The most significant change was expanding the 32.5% bracket from $37,001–$120,000 to $45,001–$120,000, effectively cutting taxes for most Australian workers earning between $18,201 and $135,000.
What was the Super Guarantee rate in 2024-25?+
The Super Guarantee (SG) rate in FY 2024-25 was 11.5% of ordinary time earnings. Employers were required to contribute at least 11.5% of eligible workers' wages into their nominated super fund by the quarterly SG due dates.

The minimum HECS-HELP repayment income threshold for FY 2024-25 was $51,550. Individuals with a repayment income below this threshold made no mandatory HECS repayment in their 2024-25 tax return. Above this threshold, repayment rates started at 1%.
